About

We have Denmark's largest selection of antique Swedish furniture in Gustavian style.

Welcome to the world of beautiful Gustavian furniture

We are connoisseurs of the Gustavian style and we carefully choose our products.

We have since 2001 specialized in restoration and painting after old original traditions with the beautiful bright Gustavian colors.

All goods and furniture are therefore lovingly restored and inspected before livery and patination, as well as possibly before painting, and possibly padded at our professional workshop. Therefore, you always get a product of the highest quality and condition, with the most beautiful patina.

We bought in 2005, the former buildings where M&S Furniture (Madsen & Schubell) was developed and produced, which today is our home and workplace. In spring 2006 we opened the shop and workshop. All goods and furniture are specially selected, with a view to great usability and this is something we greatly appreciate!

The store has gone through a rapid development ever since, not least thanks to the great interest in the beautiful Gustavian style.

Please come by and visit our 350 m2 showroom. We have Denmark’s largest selection of antique Swedish furniture in Gustavian style.

The shop is open every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00. 12-17.

We are a couple of enthusiasts who are passionate about the beautiful Gustavian style.

May-Britt Jørgensen

I started my career in the textile and design business, including furniture upholstery on the then M & S furniture (today Antikgården) in the mid-1980s. In 1988 I opened Design and sewing business, where I designed and produced fashion for 6 years. Then a few years as a fitter at the National Konfektion, and later as a teacher of textile and fashion. The creative side, I later developed with restoration and painting. I also work with photography for advertising.

Peter Raahauge Jørgensen

Besides the great love for the beautiful Gustavian style and 14 years of good craftsmanship, I have a broad background in art, with entries on artists’ Easter exhibition in 1995, and the artist’s summer exhibition in 2001. As well as exhibitions.
